Sustainability has become a ubiquitous and inevitable topic in the luxury sector. However, despite gaining traction among brands, policy makers, the media and academia; sustainable luxury still remains a vast and diluted concept. The aim of this project is to examine the state of research on sustainable luxury, its main challenges and brand behaviour in this regard through a systematic literature review of the growing, albeit insufficient, academic research on the sustainability of this industry.
